Following the success of launching Community Networks in Livingston, Aberdeen, Ayr and Dunfermline, Street Soccer will be bringing its collaborative networking event to the Greenock area on Friday March 6.

The Greenock Community Network event will bring together community and business groups in the area in the aim of showcasing the work Street Soccer undertakes in the region, and highlighting opportunities for future support.

The event will run from 12pm – 2pm and include a brief overview of Street Soccer’s operations, opportunities to get involved both individually and as an organisation, and the chance to network with other local business and community organisations in the Greenock area. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

Street Soccer was founded from lived experience and uses football to create lasting positive change for the most at-risk and socially disadvantaged people across Scotland & London.

We run free, inclusive, trauma-informed football sessions which are open to everyone of all ages and backgrounds, creating communities of support and bringing people together.

Football is just 30% of what we do, 70% is made up of off-pitch support, tailored to the individual including housing support, specialist mental health provision, food provision, emotional support, signposting and work with our partner organisations.

Greenock’s weekly drop-in session was developed in August 2025, however Street Soccer has had an extended presence in the region, supporting people in the area since 2011 through a partnership with Jericho House.

Street Soccer’s Greenock drop-in session forms part of the Street Soccer Network Programme, which aims to deliver football sessions in less-connected areas outside major city hubs.
