Street Soccer is delighted to announce an exciting programme of football festivals across the country in 2026, made possible through support from Sport Scotland’s 2026 Summer of Sport funding.
The new Summer Series will bring together people from different backgrounds, communities and regions of Scotland through the power of football, creating opportunities for connection, engagement and community building both on and off the pitch.
Four football festivals will take place throughout the summer in:
- Ardrossan – 28 May 2026
- Dundee – 2 July 2026
- Kirkcaldy – 6 August 2026
- Alloa – 10 September 2026
The events will be open to both men and women and are designed to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where players can meet new people, build relationships and experience the positive impact of being part of the wider Street Soccer community.

While football will be at the heart of each festival, the real impact for our players will happen away from the matches themselves. Players will have the opportunity to interact with other players and staff from different parts of the country, helping to break down barriers and foster new friendships.
Each Summer Series event will follow a similar format while celebrating the unique character of it’s local community. Activities will include an energetic group warm-up, football festival matches, catering, an ice cream van, special guest appearances and a presentation ceremony to recognise participation and achievement.
In addition to the Summer Series, Street Soccer Scotland will also deliver four women only football festivals throughout 2026. These dedicated events will provide further opportunities for women to engage in football, build confidence, develop connections and become part of a supportive community.
The overall aim of the Summer Series is to strengthen community engagement and raise awareness of the support Street Soccer provides to people experiencing social disadvantage. By bringing people together through football, the organisation hopes to create lasting connections, encourage participation and demonstrate how football can be a powerful tool for positive change.
More details on the women’s festivals will be announced in due course, but we are delighted to be kicking off the Summer Series and bringing communities together across Scotland through football.
We are incredibly grateful for the 2026 Summer of Sport funding making this possible, and we look forward to welcoming players to what will be a fantastic summer of football, community and connection.
