OUR AIM IS TO CREATE PURPOSE, PROVIDE HOPE AND SUPPORT
We do this by reducing isolation, creating community and providing opportunity.
mission & vision
Street Soccer was founded in 2009 to create positive change through football, inspired by Lived Experience.
Established to support people affected by social exclusion, providing a safe space, a sense of purpose, and access to new opportunities.
Football is the engagement tool from which we build trusting relationships with our players and provide holistic person-centred support, aiming to build their confidence, set goals, and create positive futures. We work with people experiencing a wide range of social issues including adverse mental health, problem substance use, criminal justice, homelessness, those who are care experienced and those seeking asylum.
We are built on lived experience – many of our staff have faced
the same challenges as our players.
We are totally inclusive, respectful, and understanding while
offering opportunity to anyone who needs it. We do not impose a time limit
or any other expectations, only reassurance that we are here to inspire.
OUR VALUES
What we stand for, on and off the pitch
Players always come first
If in doubt, we base our decision on what is best for our players.
we look to the future
We don't dwell on the past, we provide hope for what is to come.
we never leave anyone behind
We work as a team and make sure everyone stays involved.
we place others before self
We take pride in selfless acts everyday.
we keep our promises
If we say we are going to do something, we make sure we get it done.
together we are family
We support and look out for each other, and encourage each other every day.
OUR TEAM
Led by lived experience, united by purpose.

The positive influence football has on many of our lives should not be underestimated, especially during difficult times. I’ve seen first-hand the amazing work that Street Soccer is doing to help those in need and it’s an honour to be an ambassador for an incredible charity that is playing a significant role in not only my hometown of Glasgow but across the whole country.
